I went out to the barn to ride Raisin on Tuesday. As you recall, things have not been going so well with us lately. Well, the times they are a changin'!
We not only got away from the barn, but we went on half of the trail ride by ourselves! There was only one little hiccup, but of course in my happiness just to get out of the barn area! When we got to the top of the hill the sun was shining on the pond, and it really was just one of those great moments when you get rewarded for finally meeting this goal. We've worked so hard all summer it seems like, and it finally paid off. Sure we have had other good days, but it never felt as right as it did on Tuesday. She wasn't just following another horse, she learned something and she did it. I'm so proud of her!
